About the festival

"Asyl Besik - Aksuat" is an arts and sports festival held in the Aksuat district of the Abay region.

During the event, wrestlers will compete on the wrestling mat, while swift horses will race in the grand horse competition, and jockeys will test their skills. The traditional national sport of kokpar-style horseback wrestling (audaryspak) will also be held.

As part of the festival program, a national Toqyzkumalak tournament will be organized, bringing together masters of the intellectual game from all regions of the country. In addition, a book-reading competition titled “Knowledge Beyond Measure Lies in Books” will take place.

The cultural program will also be rich and diverse. Audiences will enjoy a special creative concert titled “Rukh” performed by the “Alatau Serileri” artistic group. Furthermore, the ASSYLTAS Theatre will stage the theatrical performance “A Joyful Village Evening.”

The festival will conclude with a grand gala concert featuring famous pop stars.

Irgizbai Aulie is a saint who lived in the 18th century. The year of his birth is listed in the annals as 1787. According to the annual tradition, the Quran is dedicated to the spirit of Irgizbai Ata and food is served.

"Asyl Arlan" Kazakh wrestling tournament

A tournament among the country's most famous wrestlers in Kazakh wrestling. Athletes who have won titles in heavyweight and super heavyweight (oxen wrestlers, camel wrestlers) each year participate.
